‘Not Ronaldo’, this Superstar is Ready to make a return to United

According to reports from the Daily Star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to return to Manchester United’s Carrington training facilities by Wednesday to work on his rehabilitation.

Manchester United took a bit of a risk by signing an ageing Zlatan Ibrahimovic last summer and the veteran was tasked with the job of leading the line for the Red Devils.

The gamble certainly paid off as Ibrahimovic managed a sensational 28 goals in all competitions for United and his contribution proved to be crucial in helping the Old Trafford based outfit claim the Community Shield, EFL Cup and the Europa League titles.

Unfortunately though, Ibrahimovic’s campaign was cut short after he suffered a serious knee injury during the Europa League quarter finals against Anderlecht and due to the problem, the Swedish superstar is now expected to be ruled out till January next year.

Despite the serious injury, Ibrahimovic has quashed talks of retirement or indeed moving to the MLS and United boss Jose Mourinho has admitted recently that he would look at the possibility of re-signing the 35-year-old during the winter transfer window.

In perhaps United’s first move towards convincing Ibrahimovic to sign for United again, the club have offered the striker the opportunity to nurse himself back to full fitness at their facilities and the Daily Star have revealed that the ex-AC Milan star is now due to return to the Carrington training centre by Wednesday in his bid to return to full fitness.
