MANCHESTER UNITED CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE OUT ON THIS MAN TO TOTTENHAM

The Manchester United fans down in the Transfer Tavern are thrilled with their team’s start to the new season.
After thrashing West Ham 4-0 at Old Trafford, some are claiming this the season they take back the Premier League trophy.

We seem to think they are getting slightly ahead of themselves. There’s still plenty of work to do, both on and off the pitch for Jose Mourinho.

One area of the field the Portuguese needs to address is at right-back. Mourinho currently has ‘Mr Consistent’ Antonio Valencia at his disposal, but should the dependable Ecuadorian suffer from injury, back up is hard to find.
One defender who is on the market is Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier. According to reports, Tottenham have made an attempt to sign the Ivory Coast international, but Mourinho must step in and snatch the 24-year-old.

Aurier has had a turbulent time in the French capital, after several run-ins with the law and a banishing by former PSG boss Laurent Blanc.

PSG were initially reluctant to sanction his exit but reports from last week say the Ligue 1 giants have accepted he will likely leave and are now open to offers.

United were the front-runners for a deal for some time and Mourinho now needs to act fast to sign the full-back.
As for Tottenham, Pochettino’s side are also in need of a full-back following the sale of Kyle Walker and the recent injury to Kieran Trippier. Leaving the faith in the young hands of Kyle Walker-Peters is too much of a risk.
