Bad news for Man United: Chelsea target Tottenham star

Chelsea v Manchester United - The Emirates FA Cup Quarter-Final
For anyone who missed it, Rose, the Tottenham left-back, last week suggested he’s ready to leave Tottenham. The England international voiced his opinion that Tottenham are inferior to the likes of Chelsea and Man United.

While he also revealed he was homesick, Rose made it clear he plans to leave Spurs at some point to play for a team “up north”.

Rose also made it clear he feels that Tottenham players aren’t paid enough, especially when compared to other Premier League clubs in the top six.

Based on Rose’s comments, one may have suspected the defender is more likely to join Man United, rather than Chelsea.Yet, on Wednesday, the Sun report that it’s Chelsea who are making a move for the Spurs star.

Danny Rose & Chelsea

This weekend Tottenham take on Chelsea at Wembley. If Spurs win, Chelsea will be left with zero points from their first two Premier League matches of the season.

However, leaving the match to one side, the Sun claim that Chelsea are planning to launch a bid for Rose this weekend. The red-top reports: Chelsea are set to bid for Danny Rose after Sunday’s Wembley clash with Tottenham.

As SunSport revealed last week, the Blues have made England man Rose their leading left-back target but would have to cough up £50million to interest Spurs.

Rose, 27, who is still out until after the international break next month following knee surgery, is also a long-term target for Manchester United.
