Ivan Perisic to Manchester United: New contract prepared before deadline day

In what may pass as a bad news for the Manchester United fans Croatia national team manager, Ante Cacic is confident that United target Ivan Perisic will not complete any move this summer.

Perisic has been on Man United’s radar all summer, and at one point it was looking as though the winger would fly the Unitedcolours eventually. Inter Milan turned down a number of bids from Manchester United, with the last of them believed to be in the region of £40 million.

Inter were angling for a fee in the region of £48 million but Jose Mouriho was never ready to sanction that amount for a player turning 29 in February next year.

Mourinho conceded defeat in the chase for the winger, as he stated that his club tried their best but their effort never really palliated Inter’s resolve to keep their man.

“I spoke to Ivan Perisic, he is happy in Inter,” the Croatia head coach told reporters.

“The coach [Luciano Spalletti] appreciates him, they are preparing new contract for him.”

Despite Perisic’s desire to move to England, he never really behaved badly in his quest to leave, as he turned up for training and remained focus for his side.

Meanwhile United have moved on and are firing on all cylinders, recording three wins on the trot without a single goal conceded either.
