£140,000-a-week Premier League superstar has been offered to Man United

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has reportedly been offered to Manchester United between ongoing uncertainty circling his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Sanchez is set to leave the Gunners this summer after their failure to pass for next season’s Champions League, with Manchester City the long-time front runners for his services.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has remained constant in his insistence that the 28-year-old will not be leaving the club before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

But, The Independent suggests that the forward’s wish to move has led to intermediaries seeking Manchester United’s position on a potential shock offer for the Chile international.

Man United are believed to be willing to examine the option of signing Sanchez, although the player’s choice is still to rejoin ex Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.

The latest stories suggest that City are hopeful of securing a player-plus-cash deal for Sanchez, with Raheem Sterling going in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have submitted a £92m offer for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, according to stories in Spain.

Spanish news outlet Don Balon suggests that the Red Devils have made a firm offer for the Wales international and the La Liga side are considering making a deal.

Real allegedly see United’s purported offer as an opportunity to make a profit on Bale, whom they landed from Tottenham Hotspur for £86m four seasons ago.

The story goes on to say that Los Blancos can no longer secure the Welshman regular first-team football due to the form of Marco Asensio, which could inspire him to move on.

If the transfer goes through, Bale will become the world’s third most expensive player, behind Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar and Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona.
