"Osama bin Laden is still alive, living in the Bahamas".- Snowden

Moscow: Edward Joseph Snowden, a whistleblower who leaked classified information from the US National Security Agency (NSA) in 2013, was quoted by a website as saying that Osama was hiding in the Bahamas under CIA’s protection. It may be a little difficult to believe but Edward Snowden has claimed that Osama bin Laden was still alive.

WorldNewDailyReport said that during an interview which he gave recently to Moscow Tribune, Snowden said that Osama was living in Bahamas and was still on the payroll of CIA.
The report quotes him as saying – “I have documents showing that Bin Laden is still on the CIA’s payroll. He is still receiving more than $100,000 a month, which are being transferred through some front businesses and organizations, directly to his Nassau bank account. I am not certain where he is now, but in 2013, he was living quietly in his villa with five of his wives and many children.
Snowden is at present a fugitive. He flee US after leaking documents about the NSA’s surveillance programs.

The report also said that Snowden previously too made some unreported allegations about Osama Bin Laden

Snowden goes on to say that CIA had orchestrated fake death of the former leader of al Qaeda.
He claims that Osama was transported with his family in an unrevealed location in the Bahamas.
The report further quotes him as follows – “Osama bin Laden was one of the CIA’s most efficient operatives for a long time. What kind of message would it send their other operatives if they were to let the SEALs kill him? They organized his fake death with the collaboration of the Pakistani Secret services, and he simply abandoned his cover. Since everyone believes he is dead, nobody’s looking for him, so it was pretty easy to disappear. Without the beard and the military jacket, nobody recognizes him.”
Not only this, Snowden categorically states that he will talk about the documents which prove Laden is alive in book which is likely to be released in September.
However, Snowden’s claims have not been substantiated or confirmed by any other source.
The US government has filed espionage charges against Snowden for revealing classified NSA documents to journalists.

An Inspector attached to Area ‘F’ Command in Ikeja, Lagos State (names withheld), last weekend, got himself drunk and lost his AK-47 rifle with 30 rounds of ammunition, while on duty.

It was learned that the inspector and his team were on special duty on the day of the incident.
On getting back to the office, he allegedly told his colleagues that he was going to eat and also use the opportunity to repair the vehicle, only to come back drunk without the gun and ammunition.
It was gathered that when he was asked the whereabouts of his gun, he explained that someone took it while he was sleeping inside the vehicle in the station. Reports gathered that investigation by his team mates revealed that he was seen at Ipodo area of Ikeja, known as a criminal hideout, heavily drunk when the incident happened.

Another source alleged that he must have gone to sleep with one of the commercial sex workers in the area, leaving the gun inside the vehicle from where it was removed. The inspector, who was once attached to Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, was said to have been transferred out of Lagos State due to unbecoming activities.

He was accused then of giving guns and ammunition as well as information to armed robbers and hoodlums, who paid him in return. It was learned that he had since been arrested and detained at the state command, while efforts had been intensified by police authorities to recover the gun.

N13.7million Fraud Rocks Edo LGA Council

An alleged N13.7million fraud has been reported in Edo state. According to a report from The Nation, Morrison Ogunrobo, chairman of Ovia south local government and Oyomire Idahosa, and his secretary, have been suspended following indications of a purported N13.7million fraud.

Ogunrobo and Idahosa were accused of diverting the money paid to the council as revenue accrual for personal use.
It was gathered that both government officials were suspended by the legislative arm yesterday, September 3, after the councilors passed a recommendation of a committee set up to investigate a petition against them on financial misappropriation of the council’s revenue.

In a petition by Dan Owegie (Jnr), the revenue consultant to the local council, it was alleged that revenue accrued to the council was diverted to personal account.

Owegie also claimed that he was ordered to pay cash to the council’s secretary.

The five-member committee headed by Hon Godwin Wuoluku recommended the suspension of the council boss and secretary for a period of two months and for the duo to refund the said money to the council coffers.

According to Victor Eguavoen, one of the legislators, Omosede Adenomo, the vice chairman of the council, has been asked to serve as acting chairman.

Eguavoen said: “The now suspended chairman and the secretary are to refund the money because when they appeared before the committee they said they do not have any counter evidence against the petitioners.”

This suspension of Morrison Ogunrobo comes as a surprise as motorcycle riders and farmers had earlier commended him for putting in place projects that affected their lives positively.

Former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi has said no anti-corruption agency in the country can probe him.

Ex Governor, Rotimi Amaechi

Recall that there were reports that the immediate past governor of Rivers, alongside other former governors like Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano); Sullivan Chime (Enugu); Babatunde Fashola (Lagos); Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom); Sule Lamido (Jigawa); Shehu Shema (Katsina) and Martin Elechi of Ebonyi State were being investigated by the Independent Corrupt Practices and related offences Commission.

However, The Punch reports that Chief Tony Okocha, a former aide to Amaechi, hinted that the ex-governor was not scared of ICPC or the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as long as the probe was not a malicious attempt .

Okocha, further reminded The Punch of how the anti-graft bodies had not vacated a court order denying any of them from investigating any Rivers Government official and as such could not probe him. He said that Governor Nyesom Wike was a beneficiary of such order from the court, adding that until the court injunction was vacated, it would be out of the law for the ICPC to investigate Amaechi.

“I have always said that Amaechi is not afraid of the EFCC or the ICPC as long as such probe is not a witch-hunt. Again, there is a court order that the EFCC or other agency like it cannot probe any government official in the state. Wike is a beneficiary of that court order.

“Until that court order is vacated, the ICPC or the EFCC have no right to investigate Amaechi. Since what they are going to investigate is his (Amaechi’s) activities while in government, the EFCC and the ICPC do not have such right to do so based on the standing court order.”

However, Fashola, while speaking at the 16th annual Bishop Mike Okonkwo Lecture in Lagos, “I will not respond to allegations of corruption on the pages of newspapers.”

Meanwhile, the former governor of Rivers state, why Goodluck Jonathan, Patience Jonathan and Wike were unable to remove him as governor of Rivers state.

Wonders!!! Cult members bury motorist alive in Lagos (Photo)

A war is brewing in the Mushin area of Lagos State after some suspected cultists dragged a motorist out of a commercial bus and buried him alive.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the yet-to-be-identified victim was on his way to the Oyingbo area of the state.

He was said to have been dragged out of the bus at the Total bus stop in the Mushin end of the Ikorodu Road.

A witness, Jacob Amos, said the incident happened around 8pm on Wednesday, adding that policemen from the Alakara Police Division were alerted.

He said, “The man was in the bus when he was dragged out at Total bus stop. They brought him into Mushin and I immediately alerted the policemen from Alakara.

“The police went to Adewusi Street, and searched the place for more than one hour, but they did not find anything. They patrolled the place and when they did not see anything, they left.

“Around 10pm when everybody had gone home, they brought the man to the Railway Line and push him from head down into a filled canal. Only his leg was sticking out.”

The victim was said to have died soon afterwards.

Our correspondent learnt that policemen from Alakara later arrived on Thursday to remove the corpse.

A witness, who did not identify himself, said the police ordered him to pull out the corpse from the murky water.

Friends of the deceased from Market Street, Oyingbo, were said to have shown up to identify him.

A resident lamented that the police in the area, were not doing enough to arrest the unrest in Mushin, lamenting that there were saboteurs in the force.

He said it was the second time in a week that people from the Oyingbo area would be hounded and killed in Mushin, which could start a war between the two communities.

He said, “The police in this area have been compromised. When we called them yesterday that someone had been captured around Oyewusi Street, an informant of the cultists whom we suspect work with the police, quickly alerted the guys and they left the place.

“They brought the victim to our side to make it look as if we are responsible for his death. Their plan is to set the Oyingbo boys against us and trigger a war.”

Residents of the area alleged that the increased killing of suspected cult members from Oyingbo was orchestrated by one Rilwan, aka Itakun.

Other men said to be in the group are White, Ese Chicago, Ina, Anarchy and Riliwanu.

The source said Itakun had his family house in Oyingbo and left the area due to persecution by some suspected cultists.

He said, “After he left, he started living in Mushin with a gang member. Later, he decided to start paying back those he perceived as the leaders of the gang in Oyingbo.

“Last week, he invited one Tunde Eleto to Mushin and the man was stabbed and shot dead by his squad,” he added.

However, another resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, denied that anyone was killed in the community.

He said, “There is nothing like that. Nobody was killed on the Railway Line or anywhere for that matter.”

A resident, John Ayuba, told PUNCH Metro that the government was complicit in the cult fights in Mushin.

He said successive governments in Lagos State had refused to address the problem because they used the cult members for politics.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, DSP Patricia Amadin, had yet to reply to a text sent to her as of press time.

Man Dies After Having Threesome With Prostitutes (Photo)

People need to be very careful with the people they take home.

After an overnight 'session' with 2 prostitutes, a 27 year old man named Bello, was found dead in his room at Kubwa, Abuja.

See full story after the jump:

His door had to be forced open when he was not seen outside the next morning. Up until his death, Bello was always warned by his neighbors to stop his over sexual acts, but all advice fell on deaf ears as he let his libido get the best of him.

Speaking out of annoyance, his landlord, Mr. Badejo Yekini, said: “I think he deserved what he got. He was a chronic womanizer who always derived pleasure in spending a whole night with prostitutes, not caring to know who they really were. To avoid such occurrences, men of this generation must learn how to control their libido.”

His friend also said the incident did not take him by surprise, saying, “I always warned him, but he would not listen.”

See The Fake Female Medical Doctor Arrested in Abuja After Years of Service (Photo)

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), has arrested one Nwosu Angela Njide, an alleged fake female doctor with Rauz Hospital, Apo, Abuja.

According to reports, Njide who is in her 30’s, had worked as a doctor for years, using forged documents. On interrogation, she had confessed to have worked in different places, including the British American Tobacco (BAT) clinic, Ibadan, the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and eventually in Rauz Hospital, Apo, Abuja before she was apprehended.

She claimed to have graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Medical College in 2005, adding that she had her houseman-ship programme at the teaching hospital in Nsukka.

The Head of Department of the Inspectorate Unit of the MDCN, Dr Henry Okwuokenye, who carried out the arrest, said the self-acclaimed doctor was asked series of questions but failed the very simple questions any medical student is expected to know.

“The fake doctor’s ordeal began more than a year ago when she went to Oyo State to register for her license to practice at the Ministry of Health under the Oyo State Director, Medical Services.

“Following the refusal of the Oyo State Ministry of Health to register her, she was said to have relocated to Abuja, and audaciously went on her own to the MDCN to register for her license,” Okwuokenye said.

“She came to the council to apply for a new folio number, unique to every practicing doctor in Nigeria, in attempt to get full registration.

“We checked and she was not on the list. She claimed to have graduated from UNN, but we went to verify and we discovered she lied. As at this time, she was on the run.”

Okwuokenye further noted that the impostor had been dodging arrest for more than one year now and the council had been on her tail.

Angela was reportedly arrested on the first day of her new job, which reports say was worth N280, 000 monthly, at a newly opened private hospital in Bwari Area Council in Abuja after her new employees demanded MDCN to verify its new staff doctors. The Ministry officials, however, became suspicious of her qualifications and undoubtedly verified the authenticity of her claims.

Okwuokenye disclosed that the Council, until a few days before her arrest, didn’t have the faintest idea she was working with Rauz Hospital, adding that it was a phantom interview the Council used as a quest to decoy her.

“She eventually fell victim to the bait at Dutse Alhaji in Bwari Municipal Council in FCT,” he added.

“Njide’s arrest makes her the first female fake doctor on the record of the MDCN,” Okwuokeny quipped, adding that “after her arrest, she was reportedly handed over to the police.”

Social Media Reactions on The Ojuelegba Bridge Horrific Accident (Photos)

Yesterday, A truck skidded off a bridge in Ojuelegba and crushed people to death without warning. Innocent peeople who are driving home like you and me to go meet the families they bade goodbye in the morning. At least three people are reported dead. The menace of over speeding heavy duty vehicles with faulty braking system and their often high drivers has become an issue that must be seen in the same pedestal as the Boko Haram menace.

Nigerians are dying every day and all the Government and the FRSC are interested in is stealing from the masses by mandating Nigerians to renew Drivers license and plate numbers. You need to see how the FRSC and other Government agencies harass and maul Okada and Keke drivers while extorting other private road users. These are trying times for the nation. These souls that are being wasted everyday are peoples husbands, wives, mothers, fathers and siblings.

And this has prompted Nigerian Twitter to join in mourning the dead. While some prayed for the dead or said thanks for escaping the accident, others pointed out a dizzying point: that the accident could have been avoided.

.

And in the usual style. The government has failed to react or even acknowledge the horror which happened obviously as a result of the inactions of the government. The executive governor of Lagos state has ignored the nonentities and the nobodies who died in the accident and has instead condoled the family of the big man who died at a ripe age in the land of the white man.

.

What a shame !!!

What a people !!!

Police Beat 50-Year-Old Widow To Death In Akure (PHOTOS)

Reports have it that some police officers attached to the Ondo state police command have allegedly beaten a 50-year-old widow to death in the state.

According to Sahara Reporters, the widow, Aderonke Eze, was the owner of a ‘mini beer parlor joint’ close to her house in Akure, Ondo state and was killed by unrepentant policemen using a gun butt.

The corpse of the deceased, who resided at No. 1, Akinyemi Street, off Ijoka road, Sijuwade close in Akure, was dumped at the general hospital’s morgue in Akure by the police officers numbering about seven.

Reports say the police officers stormed the street at about 6:45 pm on Sunday in a Hilux van marked NPF 4236 B from the Oda Divisional Station and were purportedly carrying out an illegal house check with an aggressive search of all residential apartments on the street.

According to residents of the area, the policemen had been in the habit of raiding the street and making arrests of young boys suspected to be smoking marijuana, or ‘Indian hemp’, in order to identify their specific houses in the neighbourhood.

Ibrahim Adegunle, an eyewitness, said: “Even the woman was not at that home when they [the policemen] stormed the building. She went for a ceremony in the second street but fortunately, she arrived and met us arguing with the policemen.

“During the process of the argument, she demanded to know what exactly was going on and she was told that some people in the street are selling contraband items, mostly marijuana, to the youths in the street.”

Mr Adegunle explained further that Mrs Eze argued that she was not involved in any contraband business but merely owns a mini-bear parlor.

“The woman made several [moves in] resistance but she was again beaten and wounded with [the] gun butt while she fell on the floor of the passage, lying unconscious, and stopped breathing.

The officers immediately fled the street in their van and refused to make any arrest, sensing they [had] killed the woman,” he stated.

Residents and sympathizers in the community reportedly took to the streets of the neighborhood of ‘Sijuwade Quarters’ after the incident, to protest the killing of the 50-year-old woman.

“They will just enter the street and start arresting our young boys. Many of them would be [accused] of being in possession of Indian hemp. Before you know it, they would be asking us to pay N10,000 before we could bail them.

“This is not the first nor second time, but I do hope it would be their last time because the whole world must here this sad news,” a resident who pleaded anonymity said.

Responding to the allegation of murder leveled against the police officers, the state police spokesperson, Oluwole Ogodo, claimed the late woman was harboring young men who deal and smoke marijuana. According to Ogodo who spoke with Sahara Reporters via a phone call, they “didn’t kill the woman” but were trying to carry out the arrest of a notorious marijuana dealer on the street.

Only yesterday, seven persons were confirmed dead when the Nigerian police and military reportedly opened fire dispersing a crowd of the pro-Biafra marchers at Onitsha in Anambra state.
