Manchester United are refusing to give up on a potential deal to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports in England.

The Gambling Times is reporting that the Red Devils are persisting with their interest in the Croatia international despite Inter Milan’s reluctance to sell.

The same article states that Manchester United are confident that the 28-year-old wants to move to Old Trafford even though his manager Luciano Spalletti insisted that the winger would be staying at the weekend.

Manchester United will have to offer £50m to match Inter Milan’s valuation after having seen one bid of £40m rejected earlier in the summer transfer window.

However, the Gambling Times report reveals that La Liga giants Barcelona and Premier League champions Chelsea have now asked about the Croatian winger to potentially disrupts Manchester United’s plans.

Manchester United started the new Premier League campaign with a 4-0 victory over West Ham United at Old Trafford in their season opener last weekend.

The Red Devils have signed Benfica defender Victor Lindelof, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic in the summer transfer window so far.

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side will take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
