United’s interest in Rose has intensified over the last month and his recent interview where he urges Spurs to make new signings has only increased speculation surrounding his future.
He admitted he would be keen on a move north and even though he has released an apology, stands by his interview and his stance on a possible move to United remains unchanged.
Daily Record claims Mourinho is open to a player swap to get a deal wrapped up as Daniel Levy has proven to be a very hard negotiator.
Shaw is currently sidelined with an injury but has returned to first team training after working his rehabilitation separately on the pre-seaosn tour.

There’s a slim chance Mourinho will actually let Shaw leave after backing him to have a big career at Old Trafford, but if he sees an opportunity, he could try and quicken a deal for Rose, especially after a difficult transfer window.
