Meet The Bride Who Married An ISIS Commander -Then Divorced Him And Fled With Their Children..

A British jihadi bride got married to an American white Islamic convert, who went on to become a senior ISIS commander, in Rochdale town hall. It emerged yesterday that Joya Choudhury exchanged vows with her lover John Georgelas in October 2004 while pregnant with their first child. The couple, now separated, met online through extremist websites.

Nearly a decade later, after Georgelas had spent three years in a US prison, they fled together to Syria with their three children to live in the self-declared ISIS caliphate.

But fearing for her health and the lives of their offspring, Choudhury, originally from London, managed to slip back over the border later in 2013. She was pregnant with their fourth child at the time.

It has now been revealed that the British woman, 33, currently lives close to her in-laws in Texas, where they look after her children. She allegedly only sees them at the weekend..

At the end of 2014 Choudhury filed for divorce from Georgelas in the US courts, and now dresses in Western clothing again.

Meanwhile Georgelas, known as Yahya Abu Hassan, has risen up the ranks of ISIS to become the most senior westerner in the terrorist group.

One of his tasks is to lure English-speaking recruits.

He was one of the first people to call for Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi to declare a caliphate in the Middle East and was close to Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, the terror group’s external operations chief, who was behind the Paris and Brussels massacres.

Georgelas’s activities are believed to have led to him being placed on a Pentagon “kill list”.
