President Buhari, Aliko Dangote, Linda Ikeji Make Africa's 100 Most Influential List

President Muhammadu Buhari, business mogul, Aliko Dangote, blogger Linda Ikeji and 17 other Nigerians have been named amongst the 100 most influential Africans of 2015. The list complied by New African Magazine was dominated by Nigeria and South Africa, with 20 and 16 personalities respectively.

Kenya, Uganda and Cameroon also feature strongly with eight, six and six entries each respectively. Of the top 100 personalities, 65 are men and 32 are women, with the other three being groups of people. South Africa’s students, for example, were recognised this year for their role in South Africa’s #FeesMustFall and #Rhodesmustfall campaigns.
The list presents the continent’s definitive power list and profiles the continent’s top game changers in eight different fields: 22 from politics ; four from public office; 21 from arts and culture; 21 from business; 11 from civil society; nine from technology; seven from media, and five from sports.

In one of the continent’s most dramatic and unusual elections of 2015, and Nigeria’s most significant in recent history, Muhammadu Buhari defeated his opponent and incumbent Goodluck Jonathan. Both are recognised in New African. Other Nigerians recognised include the former UN Special Advisor on Post Development Planning, and current minister of Environment, Amina J. Mohammed; AfDB’s new President, Dr Akinwumi Adesina and a surprising addition in the form of Nigerian Diasporan, UK MP, Chuka Umunna, who was in the frame Labour Party leadership.

South Africa also had its fair share of political influencers, among them “the black leader of South Africa’s ‘white’ opposition” party, the DA’s youthful Mmusi Maimane who also makes the list as one to watch during the next elections.

Prominent women making the list are UN Women’s Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka and fellow South African Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the current chairperson of the AU Commission, widely tipped to be a potential successor to her former husband, President Jacob Zuma.

Liberia’s President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is recognised together with her fellow heads of states, Alpha Conde of Guinea and Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone, for beating the odds to win the war against Ebola in 2015.

African financial giant and Credit Suisse boss, Tidjane Thiam, from Côte d’Ivoire, makes this year’s most influential list for Business and Economy, where he is joined by new World Bank VP and Treasurer, Arunma Otteh, Kenyan ‘DJ’ businessman Chris Kirubi and the entrepreneur and innovator behind Tesla cars, Elon Musk, among others. Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote also makes the list.

Also on the list are innovators (Cameroon’s Tonje Bakang), philanthropists (Senegal’s Akon), athletes (Ethiopia’s Almaz Ayana), actors (Zimbabwe’s Danai Gurira and Keyna’s Lupita Nyong’o), writers (Zambia’s Namwali Serpell), cultural and media personalities (Trevor Noah and Linda Ikeji), along with the activists, artists, models, musicians that have made the headlines and shaped opinions during the year.

Sambo Dasuki Lands In More Trouble

Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), was on Monday absent at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja over the controversy surrounding the house arrest of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Mohammed Dasuki (retd).

He was expected to explain the reason behind the siege on Dasuki’s Abuja residence by the Department of State Services (DSS) in spite of the bail earlier granted him by the court.
But the AGF has gone ahead to file an application dated November 20, 2015 asking for an order revoking Dasuki’s bail application and committing him to prison pending his trial.

Dasuki was charged with unlawful possession of firearms and money laundering. He had pleaded not guilty.

Justice Adeniyi Ademola had ordered the release of Dasuki’s international passport to enable him travel abroad for medical attention.

While ruling on Dasuki’s application for the release of his travel document, the court held that in criminal trial, every suspect is presumed innocent and that every Nigerian has the right to access medication anywhere of his choice.

At the resumption of hearing of the matter, Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and the prosecution counsel, Mohammed Diri, applied for an order revoking Dasuki’s bail and commit him to prison.

Diri based his application on 7 grounds including intelligence report that Dasuki has concluded plans to by all means escape justice and tamper with investigation on procurement of arms and equipment.

He said the ailment for which permission was given to Dasuki to travel to the United Kingdom for treatment can be properly treated at the National Hospital, Abuja or any other teaching hospital in the country.

Mr. Joseph Daudu (SAN), lead counsel to Dasuki, objected to the prosecution’s application and reminded the court that the expectation was for the Federal Government to tell the court why its order was violated by the DSS by laying siege on Dasuki’s house after the court had granted his overseas trip.

Daudu said the essence of his preliminary objection is to deny the government any indulgence until the court order is obeyed and that Dasuki’s absence in court was justified as he has not violated any of his bail conditions.

Justice Ademola adjourned the matter to November 26 to rule of the applications.

This Lady is cursing Prince Audu in Death bcos of Torture, Sex (FULL DETAILS)

This matter might lead to somebody suing the other, so it's a very serious issue:
Shortly after the death of Prince Abubakar Audu, the APC guber candidate in Kagi State, this lady, who has been identified as Empress (a.k.a. Sugabelly), has been cursing and celebrating at the same time.

She recounted her ordeal in the home of late Prince Audu. Shocking details...

According to Daily Post, she claimed that Audu's son had rap*d and also tortured her in some ways.

In her tweets, she said, “The Prince Audu I knew was a monster. I am glad he is dead, and I spit and dance on his grave. So happy he died. God please hurry up and take Mustapha, Kabir and Bashir too, and that their animal of a cousin called Jibrin."

As if addressing one of the sons Mustapha directly, she penned down, “Your daddy is dead Mustapha.” She also went on to say those who think she is happy the Prince died because of politics are unserious people.

The said Empress went further to allege that the deceased’s son molested her s*xually. She said she was just 17 years old when she graduated from a school in Abuja knwon as Loyola, and decided to take one year to make ends meet.

According to her, “I lived in Abuja and had just finished my first ever real world job as an intern in this tech company called Alteq. I met Mustapha there. His father, Audu, was the governor of Kogi state then.

“I was the youngest person in the company and he sort of took me under his wings and he was nice to me."

She went further to claim that one thing led to another and Mustapha allegedly started having carnal knowledge of her. Empress added that at that point, there was no one she could ask for help.

According to her, “He will choke me while f***ing me. I cried and begged him but he will get angry and say I was ruining his flow. Whenever I did not do what he or his friends wanted, he would hit me and drag me by my hair. So I learnt to be obedient.

“He used to bring new friends every time. He did other unpleasant things like burn me and hold my head under water while his friends f***ed me, but that was only once or twice.

“I was in love with him and inside, I kept hoping he didn’t mean it and if I was obedient enough, he would go back to being the sweet guy i met', Empress tweeted.

- lets agree Audu's son "Mustapha" did those terrible things to her. But what is late Audu's offence? So all ladies should be going to dance on the grave of men whose son did them wrong? I don't get!

Lagos state warns against poisonous poultry.

Lagos State Government at the weekend raised the alarm over the danger of buying and consuming exhumed contaminated poultry produce like chicken and turkey meat presently in circulation in the state. The state’s Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Toyin Suarau, who disclosed this while receiving officials of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), who came on the directive of the Federal Government to appeal for support on how to sensitise Lagosians on the danger posed by this act noted that these exhumed poultry produce are poisonous and could lead to death if consumed.

Suarau added that the imported contaminated poultry produce were seized by men of the Nigeria Customs Service in Badagry but were later exhumed after being destroyed by some unscrupulous individuals who now sell same to unsuspecting consumers. “This visit by officials of National Orientation Agency was based on the circular received by the agency about the recently exhumed contaminated poultry produce being destroyed by officials of the Nigeria Customs Service somewhere in Badagry.

“The need for sensitization on the dangers associated with consuming these exhumed poisonous poultry produce cannot be overemphasized especially in view of the havoc it poses to the public,” he noted. Gov. Dickson's 2 ex-aides decamp to APC.

Two ex-aides of Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress in the state. The defection took place on Saturday when the APC candidate in the state, Chief Timipre Sylva, took his campaign tour to the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area ahead of the December 5 governorship poll. The new defectors are Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Furoebi Akene, who resigned his appointment penultimate week, and Dickson’s Special Representative to Southern Ijaw, Apreala Pereladei. The two, who said they had defected to the APC with their supporters, insisted that the APC represented the needed change that would accelerate the socio-economic and political development of the state.

The Southern Ijaw, home to Dickson’s strong allies such as his Chief of Staff, Government House, Talford Ongol; late former Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha; and Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Konbowei Benson, is believed to be a major battle ground for Dickson and Sylva in the December poll. Of the total 663,639 number of registered voters released on November 5, 2015 by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the election, Southern Ijaw has 120,827 voters, second only to the Yenagoa Local Government, which has 139,777 voters. Among the major towns in the Southern Ijaw area, where Sylva campaigned on Saturday, were Otuan, Amassoma, Koluama, Foropa and Oporoma, headquarters of the council.

Addressing supporters after the defectors were welcomed into the APC by the party’s Chairman, Chief Tiwei Orunimighe, Sylva assured them that the party had come to change their lives from poverty to wealth. He urged them to embrace the APC if they wanted development and progress. He said that the Southern Ijaw was a strong stakeholder in APC because his running mate, Wilberforce Igiri, and the state chairman of the party, Tiwei Orunimighe, were indigenes of the area. Sylva said, “Oporoma people, Southern Ijaw people, if you want development and progress, it is APC. The opposition party is dead. We have buried it in Abuja. We will also bury it in Bayelsa. “On December 5, vote for me and my deputy. After victory, we will sit down and look at how to bring peace to Bayelsa, companies will come, and there will be jobs and enjoyment.

Angry Wife Takes Revenge On Cheating Husband By Selling House While He Was Away (Photo)

A cheating husband was taught an extremely valuable lesson – after returning from a business trip to find his wife had sold their house.

Builder Craig Arnolds returned home from New York to find the locks changed – and six students in his lounge.Wife Laura, aged 42, had packed her bags and gone.

She took the extreme measure after discovering an incriminating message on her partner’s iPhone.

When the phone flashed an unknown number, suspicious Laura swooped. The steamy message was from an American woman who described the kind of hot reception Craig could expect in New York. It was then she hatched her revenge plot.

Laura told The Sunday Mercury :

“Things aren’t great between us at the moment. I could do it because my parents came up with the deposit for our home and when we struggled with the mortgage, they came in.”

Craig, who now lives in London, described the baffling scene that greeted him at the former family home.

“All the lights were on and the TV was blaring,” “I remember thinking it was really out of character for Laura to be up past 11pm. I had no idea what on earth was going on.

“At this point I was seriously freaked out, jet lagged and frantic – I started banging on the door and shouting Laura’s name – but was greeted instead by what looked like a 21-year-old hippie.”

He added: ‘

I noticed all Laura’s furniture was gone, but the chairs and tables I’d inherited from my late father, plus my set of golf clubs and vintage radio – which Laura always hated – was sitting on the kitchen table in all its glory. “She’d included my most prized possessions in the ‘fixtures and fittings’. I was gutted. I still can’t get my head around how she did this in the space of a two week holiday.”

Last time I marry an Italian, that’s for sure.“I made a mistake and paid for it dearly.

“I was very annoyed at first but life is too short to dwell on these things and I made the decision that for the children’s sake, we should stop the hostilities there.

“Who knows, maybe by getting this out of her system will allow us to build on the existing amicable relationship?”

Hmm! Nawaoo! I can’t shout… I saw this on Elomba… Read below;
More news coming in on the Audu death. Information coming in from This Day suggests Audu was actually poisoned. He did not die of a heart attack. Audu was rushed to the hospital and repeatedly vomiting blood which he then passed out and died.

Word going around now is that Tinubu has a hand in his death. It is said that Audu’s poisoning was pre-planned in order to impose Bola Tinubu’s boy James Abiodun Faleke from Okun-Yoruba – Abubakar Audu’s running mate – on Kogi.

Although from Kogi, Faleke was a member of theHouse of Representatives, representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Lagos. There is send to be rising ethnic tension and an impeding constitutional crises if the INEC or court eventually decides to give the APC the win.

Some are mentioning the 1999 situation where Obasanjo picked Abubakar Atiku as his VP after Atiku won the Adamawa elections. Although Atiku was yet to be sworn in, his running mate Boni Haruna ascended into the governor seat.

Na wa ooo for Tinubu. Una don’ bite more than you can chew on this own. Pity. Of course, the ruling Igala people will not allow it. Tinubu trying to spread his tentacles to Kogi by all means. I fear what will happen in Bayelsa. War is looming…
