Too Bad! UNICAL Faculty Of Law Dean Accused Of Cexually Molesting 20-Year Old 400L Student

The Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Calabar, Prof. Cyril Ndifon, has been accused of s.exually assaulting a 20-year-old 400-level law student (name withheld) .

The mother of the victim, Mrs. Irene Akpan (not her real name), who is resident in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, told a Punch correspondent on Monday the incident happened between 3 and 5pm on August 29 at the dean’s private office in the faculty building.

She alleged that Ndifon forcefully had sex with her daughter. The school authority has confirmed receipt of the complaint from the victim, while the police have also corroborated it. The police said the matter was being investigated.

Narrating the experience of her daughter, Akpan claimed the dean had set a one-hour test for the students on that Saturday, assigning two lecturers to supervise; but 20 minutes to the end of allotted time, Ndifon entered the hall and ordered the students to stop writing.

Akpan said while the students were preparing to submit their answer sheets, Ndifon approached her daughter, tore her answer sheet and left the shreds on the seat.

She said, “He walked straight to my daughter’s desk, collected the script and tore it. He left the torn script on her seat, but the girl picked the pieces and kept them in her bag. According to her, you will still have to pass through the faculty before leaving the building.

“She said as they were leaving, the dean accosted her again and asked if she still had the shredded script. He instructed her to follow him to the general dean’s office to recopy the answers on another plane sheet, which she did.

“The unsuspecting girl followed him to the general office where two people were, including the dean’s secretary. The office of the dean is on the first floor of the building, according to my daughter.

“She said while writing in that office, the dean who had earlier gone out, came in again and instructed her to follow him to his private office on the second floor so that she could comfortably use the table.”

The victim’s mother said five minutes after getting to his private office, the dean locked the door, concealed the key and started making advances, adding that they struggled but Ndifon subdued her and had s.ex with the girl.

She said her daughter was later taken to the Airport Police Station along IBB Way in Calabar, where she gave statement and also had medical examinations at the police clinic.

Akpan also said her family had personally written a letter of complaint to the university through the vice-chancellor, Prof. James Epoke, who on receipt promised to act on it.

Attempts to speak with Ndifon proved abortive as he did not respond to several calls placed across to him through his mobile phone.

The Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr. Effiong Eyo, said the institution was seriously looking into the matter.

I have declared my assets to the relevant authorities, I don't need to make it public - Wike

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike says he has declared his assets to the relevant authorities and is not compelled to make it public. Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Sir Opunabo Inko-Tariah, Wike said what is important in asset declaration is the sincerity behind it ...

"The governor has declared his assets and this is exactly what he told newsmen during the tour of his administration’s projects. There is no law compelling him to make his declaration public. He has declared his assets and the declaration was made to the relevant authority. Let me also say that it is not just about asset declaration; it has to do with the sincerity of the person because some may over-declare when they want to steal in future. So, they declare to accommodate the theft in future.
Some may also declare for whatever reason; maybe they have held public offices in the past and they don’t want people to know that they have stolen money. So, people will declare; it is not all about the declaration of assets. What is crucial is the sincerity of the person declaring and you are supposed to declare when you get out of office. But the truth is that if you are a governor or a minister, what matters is the delivery of the dividends of democracy. That is what is important and it is not about what you declare and how much you declare.” Wike said

SPEECHLESS!!! Thief Burned alive in Port Harcourt (Horrific Video)

A suspected thief was burnt alive by an angry mob in Port Harcourt.

In the graphic video, the young man was beaten beyond repair before being set ablaze, He could be heard screaming the name of Jesus several times and begging for his life to be spared but the crowd will have none of that as they made sure he was set on fire.

It was gathered by the person who posted the video that the man was a member of a robbery gang that attacked the community but was the unlucky one to be nabbed while the others managed to escape.

Instead of handing him over to the police, the mob took the laws into their hands and meted out instant jungle justice on him.

Warning: This video below is very graphic

Boy Fatally Shoots Thief Who Broke Into Their Home. Later Discover That The Thief Was His Father

A teen fatally shot a masked intruder who broke into his home only to later discover the victim was his father, officials said.

Malachi Heisler spotted someone pointing a weapon at his mother when he opened his bedroom door early Tuesday morning, according to Florida's Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. The 18-year-old opened fire after the man turned the weapon toward him, police said.

"It was a standoff between me and him," Heisler told NBC affiliate WFLA. "He had his pistol and I had my rifle. A bullet is a bullet, one shot, you're dead."

Police spokeswoman Cecilia Barreda confirmed to NBC News that the assailant was found with two BB guns.

The man died on the scene and was later identified as 46-year-old John Heisler, the sheriff's office said in a statement. Authorities say John Heisler had tried to break into the St. Petersburg home his son shared with his sister, mother, and the mother's boyfriend just about midnight.

After hearing a loud crash, Malachi Heisler's mother Jolene Andrews, 37, who is also the suspect's ex-girlfriend, went outside to investigate with her current boyfriend, Alton Pyles. They found the suspect wearing a ski mask with black tactical gear and retreated back into the house when he pulled out the weapon.

Authorities say John Heisler followed the couple into the house, grabbed Andrews and forced her to the ground. Pyles, 47, called out to her son for help.

"I woke up to my name being called," Malachi Heisler told WFLA. "I heard the words 'Malachi' and 'help,' that's all I heard when I woke up."

Fearing for his life the teen ended up shooting his father in the upper body, officials said. Heisler's 13-year-old sister was also in the home during the incident.

Earlier this year, the children's mother took out a restraining order against John Heisler after he was arrested in April and charged as a felon in possession of firearms, Malachi Heisler told WFLA.

"He wasn't a good dad, no (expletive) father of the year awards," he added.

Police spokeswoman Barreda said that the incident was still under investigation but that no arrests were made and that "justifiable homicide" was being

Oh No! Angry Man Breaks Popular OAP's Head With Cutlass For Allegedly Having Affair With His Wife (Pictured)

Got this sad report on New Telegraph, Mr Soji Omotayo, an OAP with Faaji FM, an affiliate of Africa Independent Television, was attacked with a machete by a jealous husband over allegations of having an affair with his wife.

The furious husband, Kunle (surname withheld), attacked Omotayo on August 22. Omotayo said that he was surprised by the attack because he and Kunle had been doing business together for years. Kunle was said to have lured the victim to his house at Sango on that fateful day, saying that he had secured a ‘publicity job’ for him.

Omotayo and his Personal Assistant got to Kunle’s house around 8am and called him on the phone that they were already at his gate. The radio presenter left his PA inside his car and went to meet his supposed benefactor. He said:

I was ushered into his living room. When I entered, I met his daughter and wife there.
They greeted me and left the living room. I noticed that he locked the door, but did not remove the key from the keyhole. The man then asked me if my wife was in Nigeria and I said yes. He told me to call her that he just wanted to say hello to her.

What shocked me most was that after he collected the phone from me, he told my wife he purposely invited me to his house just to kill me. He told my wife that I was dating his wife.Omotayo said that before he knew what was happening, Kunle had pocketed his phone and brought out a sharp machete from his trousers.

Kunle allegedly inflicted cuts on Omotayo’s head, arm and stomach. Omotayo said:

“I started shouting for help. Before I knew what was happening, another machete landed on my stomach.

I struggled with him to take possession of the machete. I pushed him away before I was able to open the door and locked him inside.

Some of the residents gathered at the gate to see what was happening.

My PA and his wife joined in calling for help. People rushed into the compound. Among the people that rushed to his house was Alhaji Moruf Alagbe, who invited policemen from Onipanu Police Station, near Obasanjo Farms in Ota.

The policemen took me to their station alongside the suspect.
Omotayo said that he was rushed to the hospital by one Inspector Liasu from the police station, where his head was stitched.

He added:

Other parts of my body where I sustained injuries were treated. I was then brought back to the station, where some family members of the culprit had gathered.

They begged me for settlement, but I told the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) that what I wanted was justice.According to Omotayo, when he reported to the station the following day, he was shocked to discover that Kunle had been granted bail. The case was later transferred to Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos State for further investigations. All attempts to hear kunle's side of the story proved abortive

See what Mourihno`s daughter wore to GQ awards with his dad!

Jose Mourinho was upstaged by his daughter Matilde at the GQ Awards

The father and daughter certainly dressed to impress at last night's GQ Men Of The Year Awards, held at London's Royal Opera House. However, despite Jose being honoured with the Editor’s Special Award Of The Year, it was Matilde that pipped him to the post in the style stakes.

The 18-year-old - who has previously been romantically linked to One Direction's Niall Horan - wowed crowds in a tight-fitting black velvet dress, that showed off some serious cleavage with a plunging neckline.

She added some extra height with a pair of black strappy heels and finished off her glamorous look with a black and gold clutch. Jose, 52, on the other hand, looked extremely dapper in a black two-piece suit that he teamed with a crisp white shirt and bow tie.

As well as Jose, other big winners last night include Emilia Clarke (Woman Of The Year), Paul Rudd (Leading Man Of The Year), Lionel Richie (Icon Of The Year) and James Corden (TV Personality Of The Year).

Hotel collapses in Delta, Many injured

No fewer than seven people sustained injuries after a popular hotel, the Mekaval hotel situated in Effurun-Warri in Delta state collapsed at about 2am today September 9th. The injured were mostly indigenes of neighboring state who had come to the state in search of a miracle at the Christ Mercy Land Church, headed by one Pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin, popularly referred to as ‘Ijaw TB Joshua’.

Delta state deputy Governor Kingsley Otuaro, who visited the scene of the incident attributed the cause of the collapse to structural defect.

"The state government has ordered that the hotel be closed immediately to avert further loss of lives. We are going to send engineers straight away. It is very possible that there have been some structural defect ab initio during construction works because that place seems to be a waterlogged area and maybe the proper engineering works were not done.” he said

One of the victims of the incident, Adeza who is an ADC to one of the northern state First Lady, said she was in the state to seek for spiritual help for her many family troubles

“I am a Muslim, but I came here to see the man of God. Only recently I lost my elder brother who was in the Army and so many things had been happening in my family. So I came here for prayers.”she told The Nation

Undeclared Assets: Buhari is Worth More Than N3bn - Fayose

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state has discredited President Muhammadu Buhari's recent asset declaration, saying he knows the location of the president's hidden assets.

Speaking through his spokesman, Lere Olayinka, Fayose said "we know where everybody, including President Buhari’s wealth are hidden, and the APC should not provoke the governor to such an extent that he will begin to reveal their hidden assets,” he said.
“Nigerians demanded that President Buhari must declare his assets publicly because that was what the President promised when he was seeking the people’s votes. “It was part of President Buhari’s electoral promises that his assets will be declared publicly and up till today, he has not done that.

"We have only been told that the President, whom they said was poor to the extent that he had to take bank loan to buy his party’s nomination, is now the owner of a mini estate in Asokoro, Abuja that is worth over N3 billion.

“The APC should rather explain to Nigerians how a man they said had no houses anywhere apart from Daura and Kaduna suddenly became owner of houses and landed properties in Kano, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

“They should also tell Nigerians what happened when President Buhari headed Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) and why they lied to Nigerians that the president was poor, thereby obtaining Nigerians’ votes by trick.”‎

President Buhari Finally Opens Up On Why He Appointed More Northerners (Must Read)

President Muhammadu Buhari has broken his silence on his appointments, which many Nigerians have described as “lopsided”.

Buhari in an interview with BBC Hausa on Tuesday said the Constitution allowed him full control over the choice of his closest officials.

The president assured that he was not ignoring some section of his society in his appointments, explaining that those he appointed were some of his most trusted associates.

Responding to the interviewer’s question on the controversy generated by the appointments, Buhari said “This is the nature of Nigerian politics”.
“If they will do justice to me, as an elected Nigerian president, let them look at the Constitution a Nigerian president works with, there are people who will closely work with me that don’t need to be taken to the Senate.
“If I select people whom I know quite well in my political party, whom we came all the way right from the APP, CPC and APC, and have remained together in good or bad situation, the people I have confidence in and I can trust them with any post, will that amount to anything wrong?
“I have been with them throughout our trying times, what then is the reward of such dedication and suffering?
“They did not defect because of positions, they did not involve themselves in the pursuit of personal gains, and they accepted their fate throughout our trying moments.
“What is wrong if I make you the secretary (of the federal government) because I have confidence that things will go normal?”

How Pastor Raped 16 Year Old During Three-day Deliverance Prayer In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a pastor, Abraham Sunday, for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl, Kike (pseudonym) in Adalemo Estate, in the Toll Gate area, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

The pastor of Christ In All Nations Church in Adalemo, was arrested by the Ojokoro Police Division last Wednesday, September 2, from where he was taken to the Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba.

It was gathered that Kike, who was ill, had been taken by the pastor to a house in Adalemo Estate on August 28 for deliverance prayer when the incident occured.

It was learnt that the victim’s mother, who said Sunday was a family friend, became apprehensive after she did not hear from her daughter.

The matter was said to have been reported to the police by the landlord of the house where Sunday allegedly camped the teenager to rape her.

A police source said that after Kike was rescued, she was taken to a hospital, where a medical test confirmed that she had been raped. The pastor was thereafter arrested.

He said,

“The pastor was like a foster father to the girl. She was ill and had gone to a hospital in the area. While returning from the hospital, she boarded the same bus with the pastor, who said he would take her to a place for prayers.
“Since the suspect was a family friend, she did not doubt him. So, they went to the pastor’s apartment, where he camped and raped her for three days. The victim’s mother did not even know about the deliverance prayer.
“On Monday, the landlord and some neighbours got suspicious of the pastor’s arrangement with the teenager and they alerted a non-governmental organisation in the area, which in turn invited the police. The girl was rescued and rushed to a hospital, where a medical test confirmed rape. The suspect was arrested immediately.”

Kike and her mother were thereafter referred to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team and the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

The DSVRT Coordinator, Lola Viviour-Adeniyi, said the team had taken up the rehabilitation of the victim.

She said, “It was an NGO, Rubies Ink, that brought the matter to our attention.

“The girl was taken away for prayer. She was in the pastor’s house at the Adalemo area for three days, and during that period, he raped her.
“The DSVRT reached out to the victim’s mother, but she maintained that she would not pursue any case. While admitting that the pastor defiled her daughter, the mother said the pastor had a three-month-old baby, and she did not want him to be jailed.
“However, we informed the police at Ojokoro division that the state government was interested in the matter.

“This prompted the transfer of the suspect to the SDCI, Yaba.

“At present, the girl is undergoing treatment. She was taken to the Mirabel Centre.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Patricia Amadin, confirmed the pastor’s arrest.

She said, “The police have arrested the suspect, and the matter has also been transferred to the SDCI, Yaba.’’
